International AI Literacy Day

Empowering a Million: Bridging the Digital Divide through AI Literacy

Literacy today encompasses not only reading and writing but also understanding and engaging with technology, especially AI, to thrive in the digital era. This International Literacy Day, we highlight the significance of AI literacy and set our sights on making next year’s celebration the first International AI Literacy Day on 8 September 2025.

Let’s work for a future where everyone has equal opportunities for learning, meaningful engagement, empowerment and access through technology and AI. We aim to ensure within one year 1 million people have an understanding of AI and its application which narrows the gap between the digital and non-digital society.

I see a future where everyone can leverage the benefits of technology and AI, regardless of education level, literacy, geography, financial status, language, or background. To achieve this, I believe citizens should be aware of their human rights and values, and be empowered to advocate for the responsible, democratic, inclusive, lawful, and regulated use of AI.

The good news is that no-code Composite AI platforms, like CoRover.ai (with BharatGPT.ai) enable anyone to create AI applications and solve real-world problems, regardless of technical expertise. AI products are already integral to our daily lives, driving innovation and improvement across all sectors.

Let’s join forces to make AI literacy a reality and champion the adoption of Generative AI and Sovereign AI for a better future.

Ankush Sabharwal, Founder & CEO of CoRover.ai said, “In contrast to the narrative that AI will lead to job losses, I firmly believe that proper AI literacy, training, and skilling can empower Bharat to create a smart workforce that excels in various sectors. Bharat, once a global leader in knowledge and education, is poised to become a torchbearer in the AI space by developing innovative platforms, AI solutions, and a skilled AI workforce.”

We generate the raw material for AI – data – through our daily lives. As individuals and companies, we can harness this data to create AI platforms. With its vast young population and numerous societal challenges, India is ideally positioned to develop AI solutions that address global problems. By cultivating the largest AI workforce, India can drive positive change across sectors worldwide.
