When brands implement BharatGPT, they can select if they want to include a GenAI layer to it. They can also select the option to use Gemini to broaden their reach through CoRover’s platform. These options give customers flexibility, while letting them be the gatekeeper of their own information.

Beyond the manual control of data access, the platform itself is built on a Google Cloud. This gives customers an added layer of security. “Google Cloud is approved by India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, so all of the security certifications and ISO qualifications are in place which makes it easy for us to implement,” says Ankush. The team uses Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL to manage its databases, and customize its workloads, and taps on Cloud GPUs to support its gen AI capabilities.

“With financial institutions like banks and regulatory bodies as part of our client base, we have a very diverse set of data-conscious clients. Google Cloud helps us provide them with a secure environment,” says Ankush.

Scalability on demand for a seamless user experience

One of CoRover’s key clients is the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which supplies train tickets to commuters across India. The high demand for tickets means that a large influx of customers often access the website to purchase tickets the moment they are released. “During peak traffic, we get more than 10 times the usual load, and with the autoscaling capabilities of Google Kubernetes Engine, we can quickly manage the load to avoid bottlenecks,” explains Ankush.

Without any on-premises servers, CoRover is confident that it will continue investing in hyperscalers like Google Cloud. “The security and availability is definitely a good reason for choosing Google Cloud, but I also believe that the opportunity to work together to see where technology can bring us is a big plus point,” says Ankush.

Having built a rapport with the Google Cloud team, Ankush and his team are consistently providing feedback and working together with Google Cloud to innovate and build new solutions.

“Our collaboration with Google is truly something unique as I believe we are truly working together as one team. Even though we are just a small company in comparison, we have never once felt different when working together. They really made us feel like a part of the team, with mutual trust and respect,” says Ankush.

Improving the user experience to build a genAI-ready future

In a move to democratize its foundational model BharatGPT, CoRover introduced BharatGPT.ai, which allows customers to build next-generation AI applications trained on a dataset of more than two trillion tokens, with a strong focus on Indic languages and reflecting the Indian ethos.

Using BharatGPT.ai, chatbots are easily scalable and leverage the genAI technology of BharatGPT to answer various business questions across multiple domains. It can also conduct specific actions automatically with machine learning capabilities.

With plans to become a top conversational platform, both in India and globally, CoRover is keen to build a long-term engagement with Google Cloud, particularly after seeing close to 99 percent accuracy in its conversational AI Virtual Assistant platforms. Ankush says, “We are deeply integrated with Google Cloud tools on our infrastructure side, and as we work towards becoming a top AI platform, we would like to engage on a more strategic level.”
